Two MSE Professors Named Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing Fellows
The University of Arizona Center for Semiconductor Manufacturing named Krishna Muralidharan and Zafer Mutlu as 2024 CSM Fellows.
The fellows are faculty leaders in their disciplines. They have technical expertise relevant to the semiconductor sector, synthesize complex information to inform strategic directions by CSM, and collaborate with campus partners.
Muralidharan is an MSE professor with joint appointments at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory and the graduate interdisciplinary program in applied mathematics. His research focuses on implementing integrated computational materials engineering paradigms to push the frontiers of additive manufacturing, multiscale energy storage systems and planetary materials analysis.
Assistant professor Mutlu’s research interests include design, synthesis, characterization, engineering, electronic device applications, and large-scale, system-level integration of nanoscale and quantum materials. He recently organized the FuseNano conference, which brought approximately 150 national leaders together at the UA to strategize around how to shore up the domestic semiconductor industry.
